FAUNA OF RANTHAMBORE NATIONAL PARK
The park is truly a mind-blowing place, with its unique climate and vegetation.
There are around 320 species of birds found, including both resident and migratory. Additionally, there are 40 mammal species and more than 35 species of reptiles, making it a major tourist attraction.
In addition to tigers, the park is home to a variety of wild cats such as leopards, caracals, jungle cats, and rusty-spotted cats. There are also reports of fishing cats and leopard cats. Commonly found species include sambar, wild boar, Indian wild cats, jackals, and extremely rare wolves.
Due to varied terrain and abundance of water bodies, an excellent population of birds, residents, and migrants can be found here.
This place is not favorable for amphibians due to its dry climate. Tigers, known as the kings of this park, can be easily spotted even during the daytime while hunting or feeding their babies.
